Above is just a very
tatty Ric bass in for a service
set up etc, but just a tatty Ric bass, o no, because this bass belonged to rock god
LEMMY (apparently). It was
covered in Hawkwind stuff
so I think it's the real thing.
Also Hawkwind being one of
my fave bands, so it was good
for me.

This is a nice old Harmony
in for a re-wire, not a nice job to do, but hey someone has to do it. However when it was finished it played and sounded like a dream.

Here's a nice old Framus,
from the heart of Bavaria.
I've always had a soft spot for these an this is a very good example, a nice job to do as well.
I had to change the heads
and set it up etc, but also
carve new bone saddles for the bridge, most enjoyable.

If you like old Gibsons this is the one.
This was bought in by an old fella in
his 90's, a real gent as they say. It had a bit
of a buzz which the old guy found rather irritating
when gigging! Yes he was still playing tea dances
so age is no excuse, let that be a lesson to you all.
With a small bridge alteration it was as good
as new, well as good as when he got it
second hand in 1930-something.

I dont normally have any dealings with Double Bass's
but this was for me old mate Teej (from Red Jackson) so I
couldent say no.
After all, glueing a neck back on this cant be much
different from glueing one back onto a guitar right? |
